Since November 2017, Tahoe City Public Utility District (TCPUD) in California has been using a Multihog MX 120 tractor with a Pronovost snowblower and Metal Pless angle blade for winter service on the area’s trails. In its first season, TCPUD clocked up over 400 hours on its Multihog.
Once the snow melts to around 5ft, we get our Multihog in there. At that point the snow is super dense, icy and solid; it’s pretty hard to shift, but it’s no problem for the MX. This tractor is really, really good – it’s the best thing I’ve seen around here, and it’s also the quickest.

Timothy Smith of Elite Property Services (EPS) in Utah purchased his low profile Multihog MXC LP model in May 2016 and has put more than 322 operating hours on the machine since it was delivered. As EPS is a busy facilities management company, the Multihog is an important piece of equipment in their fleet, particularly for cleaning large parking garages/parking structures, roadways and vehicle access lanes.

Montana State University’s two Multihogs have proved to be the ideal solution for year round maintenance of the 160 acres of turf, 5 miles of street and 25 miles of sidewalk on the campus in south central Montana. The Multihogs have replaced previous pieces of equipment and according to the Department of Landscape and Grounds, they are the most versatile machines that the University has come across.
